- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the ground beef, onion, bread chunks, beaten eggs, milk, bell pepper, salt, sage, and black pepper. Once well mixed, transfer the mixture into a 9x5-inch loaf pan, pressing it down gently. Top the loaf with a layer of ketchup according to your taste.
- Place the loaf in the preheated oven and bake until it is fully cooked, about 45 minutes. The meatloaf should no longer be pink in the center, and an instant-read thermometer should register a minimum internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
