Ingredients
Method
- Step 1
- Preheat your oven to 450°F. On a foil-lined, rimmed baking sheet, generously season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Arrange the chicken on the baking sheet, skin-side up, and roast for about 20 minutes, or until the skin is nicely browned.
- Step 2
- While the chicken roasts, combine the melted butter and hot sauce in a bowl, whisking them together. Transfer half of the mixture to a separate bowl for later use. After the chicken has roasted for 20 minutes, brush the remaining butter-hot sauce mixture over the chicken thighs. Continue roasting for an additional 10 to 15 minutes until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked.
- Step 3
- Zest the lime, then slice it in half. Add the honey and one teaspoon of lime zest to the reserved butter-hot sauce mixture, whisking it until smooth. Brush this mixture over the roasted chicken thighs, and finish by squeezing fresh lime juice over the top. Serve immediately for the best flavor.
Notes
The heat level of different hot sauces can vary significantly. Choose a hot sauce that aligns with your spice preference: Tabasco will provide a strong heat, while milder options, like Louisiana Hot Sauce, will create a more subtle kick.
