Ingredients

  • 1 15-ounce can of pumpkin puree
  • 2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon of ground cloves
  • ½ teaspoon of ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon of salt

Instructions

  • Begin by gathering all necessary ingredients. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan by greasing it lightly.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and uniform.
  • In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, ground cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, ground cloves, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, and salt.
  • Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture, stirring gently until everything is well blended. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top springs back when lightly pressed.
  • Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and allow the pumpkin squares to cool completely before cutting them into 24 individual squares.
  • Optionally, top your cooled squares with cream cheese frosting or a sweet glaze, as desired.
  • Serve your pumpkin squares and enjoy this delicious treat!
