Cuisine American
- 4 chicken tenderloins
- 3 tablespoons olive oil for marinating
- 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 teaspoons paprika adjustable to preference
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Juice from half a lemon
In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken tenderloins with three tablespoons of olive oil. Season with salt and ground black pepper, stirring to coat evenly. Add paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Cajun seasoning, and chili powder. Toss thoroughly using tongs or a spoon to ensure each piece is well-coated.
Heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Place the seasoned chicken in the hot pan and cover with a lid. Allow the chicken to cook for approximately six minutes, undisturbed, to develop a rich, golden crust.
Once the initial side is cooked, squeeze the juice of half a lemon over the chicken. Flip the tenderloins and continue cooking for an additional six minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and a dark, crisp exterior has formed.
Remove from heat and serve immediately, pairing with your preferred accompaniments for a satisfying and flavorful meal.
