Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8 inch baking dish by coating it with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Stir until fully incorporated and smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the sugar-butter mixture, stirring gently until they are just combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until no visible flour remains. Be cautious not to overmix.
  6. Carefully fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring an even distribution throughout the batter.
  7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan using a spatula.

Notes

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
