Ingredients
Method
- Dry the chicken thighs thoroughly using paper towels. Season them evenly with salt and black pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced onion and sauté for approximately 3 minutes, or until softened and aromatic.
- Place the chicken thighs into the skillet with the skin side facing downward. Sear for 3 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
- While the chicken cooks, prepare the sauce. Combine Coca-Cola, minced garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce in a bowl, stirring until well-blended.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken thighs, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Position the chicken skin side down, allowing it to cook uncovered in the sauce for 5 minutes.
- Flip the chicken once more, continuing to cook for an additional 5–8 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. During this time, baste the chicken occasionally with the sauce for enhanced flavor.
- Remove the skillet from heat and serve the chicken immediately, accompanied by your choice of sides.
Notes
Chicken breasts may be substituted for thighs. Be mindful of adjusted cooking times, ensuring they reach an internal temperature of 165°F for safe consumption.
