Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • cup white sugar
  • cup melted butter or margarine
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 9-inch unbaked deep dish pie crust

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the corn syrup, sugar, melted butter or margarine, eggs, and salt. Using an electric mixer, beat the ingredients until fully combined. Add in the chocolate chips and pecans, stirring to incorporate.
  • Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the filling is set.
  • Allow the pie to cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

For an extra indulgent touch, serve each slice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
