Acorn Squash

My family loves acorn squash when I cook it this way. It's soft, sweet, and buttery.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium acorn squash halved and seeds removed
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of butter

Instructions
 

  • Begin by gathering all the necessary ingredients for the recipe.
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
  • Position the acorn squash halves, with the cut side facing down, on a cookie sheet. Bake in the preheated oven until the flesh begins to soften, which should take approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
  • Once baked, remove the squash from the oven and place one half, cut-side up, into a deep baking dish. Add the butter and brown sugar into the cavity of the squash. Then, place the other half, cut-side down, over the first half to create a seal.
  • Return the dish to the oven and continue baking until the flesh is tender, which will take an additional 30 minutes.
  • Serve the dish hot and enjoy!
